Planet Zoo 2 Animal Comparison

Put two Planet Zoo 2 animals side by side. See where their biomes and continents overlap and what barrier a shared habitat needs, using only data from the official Zoopedia.

What the comparison checks

Enclosure type. Habitat, aquarium and exhibit animals are housed differently, so only two habitat animals can share a habitat. The tool says so when the pair cannot share one.

Shared biomes and continents. Matching biome and continent tags help with a themed area and with plants and terrain that suit both species. An empty overlap does not stop you building, but the animals will not match one theme.

Combined barrier. For two habitat animals the tool works out the strictest barrier: the higher grade, the taller minimum height, climb-proofing if either species needs it, and a water barrier only when both allow one.

Data sources. Minimum area, temperature, group size and social compatibility come from each animal's official Zoopedia page. Terrain mix is not included yet. For per-species barrier specs see Planet Zoo 2 habitat requirements; for the full roster see the Planet Zoo 2 animal list.

FAQ

How does the Planet Zoo 2 animal comparison work?

Pick two species. The tool lines up their Zoopedia data and shows which biomes and continents they share and the barrier a shared habitat would need.

Does the comparison tell me if two animals can live together?

It shows whether either animal's official Zoopedia page lists the other as a neutral or thriving companion. If neither page lists it, the pair is shown as not listed as compatible.

How is the combined barrier worked out?

It takes the higher barrier grade, the taller minimum height, climb-proofing if either species needs it, and allows a water barrier only if both species allow one.
